Biodiversity important areas

Index of biodiversity importance by country based on Key Biodiversity Areas (KBAs) percentage cover in the country and total IUCN Red List species, standardised to 0-1 range, where 1 means high biodiversity importance.

It can be used as proxy of biodiversity exposure in risks and vulnerability analyses. It is one of the dimensions of the composite indicator of vulnerability to global tourism and travel crises indicator.
